Gichugu Constituency Returning Officer Dies in Unclear Circumstances

Geoffrey Gitobu, the election official for Kirinyaga County’s Gichugu constituency, passed away inexplicably.

According to reports, Gitobu passed away today, August 22, just days after his Embakasi East counterpart also passed away painfully.

The returning officer collapsed and passed away, according to information provided by journalist Ali Manzu; the reason for his demise has not yet been determined.
