“Kateni miti…they will not believe!” – Atwoli meets Ruto in State House

A few days after signaling his intention to cooperate with the Kenya Kwanza government, COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has finally met with President William Ruto today.

Prior to the general election on August 9, Atwoli was a member of Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja team.

He ran a strident anti-Ruto campaign, publicly declaring that Ruto would never succeed former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Atwoli was a member of the Luhya community group that met with Ruto on Thursday at the State House.

He was joined by others, including Rashid Echesa, Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale, former Kakamega gubernatorial candidate Cleophas Malala, and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

See the reactions below:

@MosesTKariuki: @AtwoliDza is a sellout, a crook! He should be somewhere else playing with his great grandkids. Not in statehouse assisting the @WilliamsRuto scheme how he will increase NHIF and NSSF taxes as if Kenyans are not already heavily taxed.🚮 🚮 🚮

Jalal Antony: Kweli.Waliokudharau, siku moja watakusalimia kwa heshima.

@lybrian1: Wanasiasa hawachukiani. Wananchi ndio wanachukiana because of wanasiasa.
