Kalonzo Musyoka: Ruto stole votes in 2013 and 2017

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has accused Deputy President William Ruto of conducting “unfair” UDA nominations, alleging that the process was marred by anomalies. He says that such violations were part of Ruto’s election rigging strategy, and that the DP corrupted previous presidential elections.

Kalonzo stated that Ruto manipulated elections in 2013 and 2017 while speaking in Maili Tisa in Kajiado Central, where he attended the endorsement of Wiper party Member of Parliament hopeful Moses Birisha.

He did, however, distance himself from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s rigging, claiming that Ruto employed “dubious” methods to rig elections without the President’s knowledge.

Kalonzo further warned Ruto not to continue his “rigging tactics” to the 2022 elections, claiming that a powerful team, including the President, is on high alert.

“During the 2013 and 2017 elections, Ruto stole our votes. We had won the elections with Raila. I have come to realize that it is Ruto who was rigging elections and not Uhuru.

“It is now clear and you have seen the menace manifest in the UDA party primaries even here in Kajiado, ” Kalonzo said.

The Wiper leader further said that the DP has been “looting” public coffers at the expense of suffering Kenyans.

“Ruto is not only engaging in elections malpractices but also looting public coffers,” he claimed.

Kalonzo rallied the Maa nation to support the Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya Coalition saying it has the best interest of Kenyans at large.
