CS Moses Kuria appoints former running mate to gov’t job

Moses Kuria, Cabinet Secretary for Trade and Investment, has appointed his erstwhile running mate Faith Mwaura to the cabinet.

According to a Gazette Notice published on Friday, June 16, CS Kuria named Ms Mwaura to the Kenya Development Corporation board of directors.

She will serve for three years, succeeding Wilson Mboche Waithaka, whose appointment was canceled.

Mboche was named to the KDC Board of Directors on May 17, 2021. Faith Mwaura is a prominent real estate entrepreneur in Kenya.

When CS Kuria ran for Kiambu Governor in the 2022 General Election, he chose her as his running mate. He lost against Governor Kimani Wamatangi.

She has over ten years of expertise in the area and is passionate about creating affordable housing and communities.

She is the founder of Nanyuki Oasis, a premier gated community in Nanyuki.

Faith is also involved in several volunteer programs in her neighborhood, including Miti Millioni, a tree planting effort that has participated in tree planting activities across the country.

She is a member of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a committee member of the Kenya Property Developers Association.
