Kisii doctor in trouble for defiling Form 2 girl in hospital

Henry Nyarango, a Kisii medical professional was charged of def*ling a 15-year-old schoolgirl at the hospital where he works on Monday.

The suspect, who is a clinician at the Catholic Mission Hospital, where the alleged defilement took place, was revealed to the court.

The documents state that Ramasha police station officials were responsible for the suspect’s arrest. Following then, the incident was recorded in the Occurrence Book as OB: 17/03/06/2023.

It was stated that on June 2, at Ichuni Sub Location, St Catherine Ichuni Hospital in Masaba South Sub-County, within Kisii County, the suspect intentionally and unlawfully had s*x with a minor, aged 15 years.

In an alternative charge, the suspect is accused of committing an indecent act with a minor.

The suspected is alleged to have followed the plaintiff into the toilet where she had gone to answer a call of nature, and defiled her.

Nyarango was reportedly on duty at the hospital on the said night.

The case was heard by Principal Magistrate Kimtai Matata.

The suspect was released on Sh100,000 bond with a surety of similar amount.

He was, however, warned against interfering with or threatening the appellant upon securing release.

The case will come up for a mention on June 8.
