Nine students from Keteng Primary School in Nandi Hills have been hospitalized after falling down a tree inside the school grounds while they were collecting fruits.
According to legend, one of the branches that the students had stood on snapped, sending them plummeting to the ground, where additional students who were underneath the tree were also hurt.
Some of the students received treatment and were later discharged. One is being monitored at the hospital after suffering a significant injury.
Richard Chepkwony, the medical director of Nandi Hills County Hospital, who confirmed the occurrence, claims that the children’s conditions are good and that their medication is working.
