The 36-year-old won the largest regional gambling industry jackpot after correctly predicting the results of 16 out of 17 football games.

He lost out on the opportunity to win KES 291 million, though, since he miscalled a match between Rotherham and Cardiff in the English Championship.

“I am happy that I have won KES 11 million, but I am also wishing that I had won the entire amount. I cannot believe that it is only one match that made me miss out on KES 291 million, which would have made me so well-off financially to invest in several projects,” said Kiplangat.

Despite not winning the jackpot, Kiplangat disclosed his intentions to utilize some of the money to construct small rental homes on his present plot of property.

He joins other fortunate players who have received the SportPesa Mega Jackpot’s life-altering payouts.

Every weekend, the Mega Jackpot offers a total jackpot prize for accurately picking the winners of all 17 games as well as additional payments for picking 12 to 16 winners.

With effect from March 25, 2023, the prize amount has raised to KES 292 million because no one claimed the SportPesa Mega Jackpot over the weekend.
