Unconfirmed claims of a French-born Moroccan football player abandoning his wife with no alimony flooded social media on Friday, April 14.

According to the sources, the court’s discovery during the divorce procedures that the star athlete had registered his assets in his mother’s name allowed for this.

According to Omari, who spoke with a local media station, the wife would have to argue her case in court and demand that the husband outline the timeline of how the parents came to be listed as property owners.

He stated the woman has a case that can go in her favor if the transfer was made in order to thwart the course of justice.

“The questions that will be asked are, at what time were these properties transferred, if it was transferred for purposes of defeating the course of justice, then the wife will have a case, but if not, then I’m afraid she might lose it,” the lawyer said.

The outspoken lawyer observed that in whatever circumstance, those who are keen on the small details in law are the ones who get justice.

“The property is emotionally the husband’s but legally he owns nothing, so the woman might get nothing because there is nothing to share. Justice is for those who are keen.” Omari said.

He explained that the registered parent would be asked to produce papers to show the properties are hers and why her adult son left them in her name.

Omari added that it would be an easy case to win since she had the official documents that declare her ownership of the assets.

“The mother will also have to explain under which circumstances were the properties transferred to her yet the son is an adult. But she might get away with it because she has the documents proving she is the owner,” he explained.
