“I am the most aggrieved person” – Wajackoyah begs Supreme Court to be allowed to speak

George Wajackoyah stated in front of the Supreme Court on Tuesday that he was seriously hurt after running in the presidential election.

He was asking to be given the opportunity to speak during the hearing on the presidential petition.

After the IEBC proclaimed William Ruto the winner, Wajackoyah, who was up against Raila Odinga, Waihiga Mwaure, and Wato, finished third. Mwaure finished in last, with Raila coming in second.

“I am a presidential candidate and I was here in the morning, my legal counsels were here in the morning but they were asked to go back,” he said.

“What I want to beg or pray for is I be given an opportunity to be enjoined to speak through my counsel.”

Wajackoyah claimed he had already turned in his petition responses and that he had been added as an interested party.

“I am the most aggrieved person here apart from those who are interested parties in the petitions. I ran for this election and I am seriously injured and should be given a chance to be heard,” he said.

“Please let’s look beyond the mirror so that justice can be done.”

Wajackoyah claimed he had already turned in his petition responses and that he had been added as an interested party.

“You are a presidential candidate and we give you all the respect. Many Kenyans admire you. However, under the law, if you are aggrieved you have the first opportunity to file the petition,” he said.

“… and you did not and unfortunately, you lost the opportunity and you have to bear the consequences.”

An aggrieved Wajackoyah stood up and had to agree to the remarks by Justice Ibrahim.

“I have been named as an interested party otherwise I will have filed a petition,” he concluded.
