YouTube awards Diana Marua with prestigious Golden Plaque after clocking 1 million subscribers
Kenyan YouTuber Diana Marua, known as Diana B, has become the first female Kenyan artist and content creator to receive the prestigious Golden Plaque from the YouTube community, after achieving 1 million subscribers.

Marua joined the streaming platform in June 2019 but became serious about creating content in 2020.
“I opened this channel in July 2019, I became serious about creating content in 2020 ( During Covid). We hit 1 Million Subscribers on February 17th, 2024. It’s taken 5 years of hard work, commitment and resilience. It has taken an Entire Nation to get this far. To everyone who watches and supports our content, this Golden Button is our WIN,” Marua added.
“You made this happen! I want to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart. With sooo many ups and downs, we did not lose focus. She also thanked her husband Bahati for being her biggest support system in everything she does.

Bahati also penned a congratulatory message to his wife saying he is proud of her new achievement.
“Congratulations my love… you deserve this… I am proud to have a hardworking wife like you… I am happy to be called your husband ❤️,” Bahati wrote.
