The family of former Ainabkoi Member of Parliament William Chepkut has issued a new statement confirming the cause of death.
Chepkut died on Saturday morning.
According to earlier reports, the former MP is said to have collapsed at his home and was taken to Mediheal Hospital in Parklands where he was pronounced dead.
He was said to have died of a blood clot and high blood pressure.
The family has since released a new statement confirming the he was battling Kidney disease for a very long time.
“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Hon. William Chepkut.
Hon. William Chepkut battled Kidney disease for a very long time. A true fighter, Chepkut persevered through it all, and you loved him all through.
Chepkut could have been the perfect definition of amiable, humorous and down to earth man who mingled freely with anyone anytime.
It was an honor of hi s career to serve as the Member of Parliament of Ainabkoi Constituency from 2017-2022. His Jokes, great articulation of debates in Parliament and witty ideas will be missed.
He died at Mediheal Hospitals, Nairobi.
