Rev. Samuel Oyugi, a pastor for the Seventh-day Adventist Church, may have foreseen his demise hours before it happened.
The Migori-based church leader was killed instantly and three other people suffered critical injuries in a terrible traffic collision.
Oyugi was in a PSV van headed to his rural home in Winyo village when it lost control and slid into a ditch, according to an official report issued by the church conference leadership in Migori County.
On that tragic day, the pastor was in charge of a church service when he supposedly foretold his demise.
Life is short
The preacher reminded his congregation during his last sermon that life is short and that they may encounter uncertainty at any given time.
He urged his followers to be steadfast and to keep praying for one another and for him.
During a sermon, he stressed the fleeting nature of life and urged his audience to mend their ways.
He hoped he had more time to bring many people into the kingdom of God.
According to head pastor Timothy Mboya of the Migori Conference, who was quoted by Tuko News, “he had essentially foreseen his death.”
