Wangui Ngirici, the loser in the Kirinyaga gubernatorial election, congratulated William Ruto.
Ngirici, a staunch opponent of Ruto, had ties to Raila Odinga after splitting from Ruto’s UDA party.
The leader posted a picture on Twitter of herself and the president-elect at a previous event.
