Wangui said she decided to run for the top position after failing to clinch a position in Mavoko as
an independent candidate.

She added that she saw the same problems people had then still recurring and the cry for help
they had, which prompted her to Gor for a bigger and more impactful position.

“We went to the interview with my husband, they asked us questions and we went home. The next day they called us and asked us to come and they told us we emerged winners out of the nine candidates and they asked us if we were ready and we said yes.

Although she had never met Wajackoyah before, she said the two have gelled well and have the same vision and she further said that her role as a running mate is to support the leader achieve his goal should he be elected as president.

Wajackoyah and his running mate Justina Wangui promised to enjoy several puffs of weed in public if they win the August 9 presidential contest.
