Kenyan YouTuber Miss Trudy has claimed that she makes at least 500K from her YouTube channel.
Despite the fact that she wanted to give up at one point because her channel was not making her any money, she has persevered.
Speaking during an interview on Cooler Kula show, the vlogger who is engaged to Ghanian You Tuber Wode Maya shared
“For a You tuber, it’s never the same. The lowest amount I make is 5000 dollars (500K).
When I met my fiance he taught me how to create content and be consistent. I used to post twice a month but now I post more.
When he taught me the most I got paid 100,000 at the time that was the highest amount I had ever received from YouTube.”
Miss Trudy says before she joined Youtube she worked in a research firm earning 300 days. She also worked as a promotion lady in supermarkets.
Speaking during a past interview on PLUG tv, Flaqo who is a self-taught comedian said he made almost 20 million.
Despite the corona Pandemic, Flaqo made a killing but he was not happy.
“During Covid 19 I made a lot of money. I was taking every advert that came to me. Adverts upon adverts. But I realized that it was leading me astray and I wasn’t enjoying myself. It was like I had sold my soul.”
How much did he make during that Covid period?
“It could have reached Sh 20 million. I am not sure but it’s possible, however, that’s just during the Covid period. But I got derailed during that period. The more there is money, it takes away the artistic value and humor of my comedy. What matters to me is the art, before the money,” he said.
