After viewing Victoria Mumbua Kaloki’s body at City Mortuary, her family was overwhelmed with grief.
Following a days-long search, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) discovered a body suspected to be Victoria’s.
On Thursday, October 3, the family of the deceased was overwhelmed by emotions after positively identifying her body.
Meshack Kingi confirmed that the female body was that of her sister, who had been missing since she picked up passengers from Mombasa to Samburu.
“It’s her,” Kingi said moments after viewing his sister’s body as reported by Nation.com.
The devasted brother said they suspect Victoria was strangled before being dumped in the thicket within the Mai Mahiu area.
“We suspect she was strangled and dumped on Friday, and brought to City Mortuary and booked as an identified body,” he added.
The grieving family now endures the difficult wait for a post-mortem to establish the cause of her death.
