Celebrated Journalist Lynn Ngugi has cried for help after the car they were travelling in broke down in the middle of Tsavo East Park, as they rode to Malindi.
While calling for rescue on her Facebook page, Lynn said they had tried severally to reach out to the Patrol officers but all were in vain.
“We have been stuck at Tsavo East Park for the last 4 hours, literally in the middle of nowhere. (We took the Tsavo route to Malindi).
Our car broke down, called the Patrol, said they were looking into it, still no feedback even after multiple follow ups, and now, we have to wait for someone to drive all the way from Malindi to come get us. Really lucky the car broke down in a place we can access network
Now, if you know anyone in this area who can just help get us out of the park to the main road, please help. We can’t get out of the car because of the wild animals..
Just really wondering what the case would be if a foreigner was stuck here. Ps. This is just a call for help. Additional info: We are 33KM to Sala Gate from Manyani.”
Following her story, several of fans shared their experiences after getting stuck in Tsavo Park.
Take a look at the reactions below:
Sophy Chebures: You are lucky you are where there’s network, otherwise mungeona siku mrefu, but usually after 6:30pm they always communicate, because by that time usually no one should be in the park, poleni lakini, sometimes back we met some mzungu and his lady, with a driver, the car had broken down, we tried helping but nothing, we had to take the mzungu and the lady back to manyani gate, we left the driver with some water and asked him not to get out at all, I am told they went back for the driver, the car was pulled the next day, they were grateful we met them, kwanza hapo Haku kukuwa na network, it can be crazy.
