President-elect William Ruto has received congratulations from the University of Nairobi for winning the recently held elections.
On Tuesday, August 16, the University issued a brief statement congratulating Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua on their victory on Monday. The University of Nairobi has produced both of the current leaders.
“The University of Nairobi wishes to congratulate its alumni, President-elect Dr. William Samoei Ruto and his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua!” UoN said in a tweet.
The leader of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party attended the University of Nairobi to earn a Bachelor of Science in Botany and Zoology. His graduation was in 1990.
Ruto received a PhD in Plant Ecology from the same university in December 2018.
