The WaJesus’ Mom Cut Her Signature Dreadlocks for a Ksh 70K dare

After content creator Thee Pluto, who cut his dreadlocks for a Ksh 1 million dare, The Wajesus’ mom has joined the trend after she was dared to cut hers for a Ksh 70k dare.

The mom, whom the public knows as Mrs. Ng’ang’a, had gone out with her children The Wajesus (Kabi and Milly). The latter expressed that they were displeased with Mrs. Ng’ang’a dreadlocks hairstyle.

According to Milly, dreadlocks limit women from wearing different hairstyles. She wanted her mother to get rid of her dreadlocks so that she could pamper her by glamming her up with different hair-dos.

For Kabi, dreadlocks make Mrs. Ng’ang’a not appear presentable, considering the hairstyle is strongly associated with goons in Kenya. He wanted his mother-in-law to change her hairstyle to fit the celebrity status she has earned since she started featuring in their YouTube content.

Well, it was not easy for Mrs. Ng’ang’a to let go of her hair-do since she has kept it for over two years.

She explained she had chosen the hairstyle because it is easy and cheap to maintain.

The WaJesus had to involve money to motivate Mrs. Ng’ang’a to let go of her dreadlocks.

Interestingly, Mrs. Ng’ang’a bargained for Ksh 70k, Ksh 50K to cater to the cost of her natural hair, and Ksh 20K as her appreciation for completing the dare.

The deal was finally agreed and Mrs. Ng’ang’a got a new hair-do after cutting her dreadlocks.

Early this year, Thee Pluto caused an online stir after he agreed to shave his signature dreadlocks for Ksh 1 million. City politician Wangui Ng’ang’a had dared him to cut the locks to look more presentable.

In an interview with Mungai Eve, Thee Pluto claimed that he proceeded with the dare because the amount was reasonable and he is more concerned with making money than keeping his hair.
