Full Gospel Pastor arrested for ra*ping student during deliverance service in Embu

An Embu County pastor was charged of ra*ping a member of his church on Monday.

On June 1 at Karurina Village in Embu West, Benson Mwaniki Njuki of the Full Gospel Church Karurina was accused of ra*ping a 22-year-old lady.

Pastor Njuki was charged with pen*trating her without getting her permission.

The woman is alleged to have been ra*ped by the man of cloth while she knelt down during a prayer meeting at Njuki’s church.

All this time, the court was told, the pastor is said to have been dressed in his official church robe.

Her attempts to scream were thwarted after the accused overpowered her and covered her mouth.

The woman narrated the ordeal to her mother and was taken to Embu Level V Referral Hospital where penetration was confirmed and a P3 form and post-rape care (PRC) form filled.

The matter was reported at the Itabua Police Station after which the man of God was arrested.

Njuki denied the charges when he appeared before Embu Senior Principal Magistrate Robert Gitau.

He was granted a Ksh.100,000 bond with a surety of the same amount or cash bail of Ksh.50,000. The matter shall be mentioned on June 11.
