Popular public service vehicle (PSV) operator, Super Metro, has officially resumed operations after receiving clearance from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and the Transport Licensing Appeals Board (TLAB). This follows a brief three-day suspension that allowed the company to finalise compliance with regulatory requirements.
In a statement released on Thursday afternoon, Super Metro confirmed that it had successfully addressed all directives issued by the two transport regulatory bodies. The company praised its internal team for working round the clock over the past three days to meet the stringent standards set by authorities.
“Super Metro Limited is thrilled to announce that we have successfully met and surpassed all compliance requirements set by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and the Transport Licensing Appeals Board (TLAB),” the company said in its statement.
The suspension, which began on Monday, April 14, came after the TLAB instructed the operator to temporarily halt services in order to finalise outstanding compliance matters. At the time, Super Metro noted it had already achieved 90% compliance and committed to fulfilling the remaining requirements within the stipulated timeframe.
During the suspension period, Super Metro remained in constant communication with regulatory authorities, working to align all aspects of its operations with legal and safety standards. The company also used the opportunity to reassure its customers and stakeholders of its dedication to maintaining high-quality and reliable services.
“We are excited to once again serve the people of Kenya, providing safe and efficient transport solutions to communities across the region,” the company stated as it resumed operations.
Super Metro extended its gratitude to its loyal customers, partners, and regulators for their patience and support throughout the compliance process. The company reiterated its ongoing commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and fully compliant public transport services.
This latest development marks a significant milestone for the commuter bus company, which has gained a reputation for professionalism, punctuality, and high safety standards in the PSV sector.
With operations now back on track, Super Metro aims to continue offering dependable and affordable transportation while upholding all regulatory expectations.
