The rapper Stoopid Boy, who gained notoriety with his hit song “G Bag Na Jug,” had declared that he would only participate in a paid interview.
The rapper informed the media in an interview that he would require a staggering Ksh 100,000 in order to make that happen.
“Siku hizi pesa imeanza kuingia juu ya kuongea, wasnii wengi hawaongeangi hata nikisema ten bob nakupima, mimi saa hizi nataka Ksh 100,000.”
In the interview where he revealed this, he clarified that he did that interview because the interviewees were his cousins, and did them the favour so that he would grow their craft.
Stoopid Boy created a controversy when he refused to appear at Dr Ofweneke’s show, asking to be paid.
“He canceled last minute…because he wanted to be paid,” said Dr Ofweneke.
He added, “Stoopid Boy just wiat, we will pay you, hapa ndio unatoanga song ya pili ya nne unaanza kutafuta Dr Ofweneke wapromote ngoma, tutakumbuka, we shall revisit this one,” he said before proceeding with his show
In a video, Stoopid responded confirming that it was true he wanted to be paid to appear in the show.
“That’s why nilikuambia lazima ujue vile naishi kwanza ndio uniite….Saa hizi venye mziki yetu imetufikisha, hauwezitupanga. Tunaneda ma-interview bila doo,” he said.
The rapper added;
“Kuna kitu inaitwa sitting allowance, kukaa chini kuongea na me ni mtu wa maana, Momba haukuniita kabla sijatoa hio ngoma ya Gbaga Jat?”
“Interview bila doo haiwezi,” he concluded.
