State House Cars Put on Mass Auction for as Low as Ksh 50K; How to Bid
The State House Nairobi has issued an auction notice to the public, seeking bidders for unserviceable motor vehicles, tyres, and various scrap metals.
William Ruto’s office sought prospective bids for the state house properties.
The auction of the properties will take place on Friday, June 16, 2023, according to State House Comptroller Katoo Ole Metito.
The public auction will begin at 10 a.m. at the State Department of Roads in Ruiru.
“The Executive Office of The President – State House intends to sell through Public Auction Unserviceable Motor Vehicles, Tyres, Batteries, Lawn Mowers and Assorted Scrap Metal on 16th June 2023 starting at 10:00 am at the State Department for Roads, Ruiru,” read the notice in part, as quoted by Capital Business.
President William Ruto’s office noted that each prospective bidder should pay a refundable deposit of KSh 50,000.
Details of the exercise, to be conducted by Astorion Auctioneers, can be accessed through the presidential website or government tender website.
How to Bid
To participate in the June 16 auction, interested bidders will have to part with a refundable deposit of Ksh50,000.
Interested bidders were also advised to make the payment at the cash office at the Executive Office of The President – State House in Nairobi.
President William Ruto’s office also indicated that the catalogue and the viewing dates of the vehicles could be accessed through the official presidential website.
However, the prices of motor vehicles and the make of the motor vehicles were not included.
“Interested bidders may obtain further information by visiting www.president.go.ke and www.tenders.go.ke to download a catalogue containing details of the venue, items to be auctioned, conditions of sale and date of viewing,” read the notice in part.
For further clarification on the public auction, bidders were encouraged to seek information from the Astorion Auctioneers through 0720797118 and 0721963927.
An attendant at the office of the State House Comptroller was also chosen to respond to queries of the bidders through 0710847948.
