Gordon Ogada, the winner of the SportPesa Mega Jackpot, emerged on Friday with a spectacular ceremonial opening of his luxury new home in Migori County.
After winning a magnificent KSHs 230,742,881 in February 2018, Ogada remains Kenya’s largest football jackpot winner.
Indeed, records are made to be broken, but this one took four years to achieve and no one has surpassed it since.
Coincidentally, the SportPesa Mega Jackpot has crossed the KSHs 200 million threshold, presenting you with the opportunity to become the town’s newest billionaire.
He was endorsed by a community that has reaped the benefits of his victory in a lavish ceremony at his newly-built home in Nyatike, Migori County.
“Today is a special day and I am very grateful to God for making this happen.
“These are things I only used to dream about but now by His grace, I can welcome my friends and the community to break bread with my family as we celebrate this achievement,” Ogada said in an interview.
The lovely property is situated on a three-acre plot of land with amazing views of the hills and Lake Victoria just a short distance away.
Samuel Abisai, who won a whopping KSHs 221,301,602 in May 2017, was also present and expressed his joy for his friend Ogada.
“This is a milestone for my brother here and I am glad that I could be here to show my support and congratulate him and his family,” Abisai underscored.
Ogada, whose actual interest is real estate, went on to say that this is only a supplement to the properties he already has and that he isn’t finished yet.
The father of three also owns a home in Kitengela, which he purchased a few years ago, and is currently working on a new interesting project in Ngong.
“I wanted to build in my rural home, a house that is just as good as the one in Nairobi and here we are now.
“My wife and kids can be as comfortable no matter which house they are in, for that I will forever be grateful to SportPesa,” the Manchester United fan exclaimed.
Traditional Luo musical performances, plenty of food, and bonding for the entire community, who appreciate Ogada and his efforts, were the highlights of the colorful ceremony.
Aside from bettering himself and his family, Ogada has educated local youngsters, dressed the elderly, and is currently building a well to supply water to the entire village.
