Soldier Down! Woman Dies While Having Twa Twa in a Bush in Homa Bay
A 37-year-old man in Mbita has been arrested following the death of his 48-year-old lover after having twa twa in a bush.
The lovers were reported to have been on a drinking spree on Sunday, March 19, the evening before boarding a boda boda to take them back home.
Identified as Milca, the woman was reportedly inherited by the younger man in line with traditions following the death of her husband.
The suspect is reported to have carried the body of the woman and partially buried it in sand inside another person’s homestead.
After alighting at Got Rateng, a village a few metres from home, the two lovers decided to get into the act in a nearby thicket until she died.
Milca’s body was reportedly found partially buried under sand in what seemed like the body had been moved from the initial scene. She had no injuries.
Her body has since been taken to Homa Bay County Referral Hospital mortuary ahead of a postmortem exam.
Confirming the tragic incident, Lambwe East location chief Bernard Ouma said the suspect didn’t know the deceased would die during sexual intercourse.
“We arrested the suspect after he admitted that they have been engaging in sex, but the unfortunate incident occurred in their last engagement,” Ouma said.
Ouma disclosed that he had previously summoned them and warned of the dangers of their extra-curricular activities after getting drunk.
“There was a time I summoned and warned them against careless sex after drinking. They continued and we suspect that is the cause of the problem,” he added.
He further stated that the suspect was handed over to authorities at the Kipasi police post for further probe into the incident.
