Akothee had spent a peaceful afternoon with her children and COO, Mr. Lamek, enjoying lunch in Westlands. The calm quickly turned into chaos when they visited the third floor of a building where she was scheduled to begin rehearsals.
Suddenly, a person burst through the door, shouting, “Get out! Get out! We are not safe!”
Confused and alarmed, Akothee and her companions rushed out, only to be confronted by thick, choking smoke filling the escape stairwell.
As the fumes intensified, the group found themselves trapped, unable to use the stairs and struggling to find another way out.
Akothee’s Desperate Fight for Survival
Amid the panic, Akothee realized they were in grave danger. Outside the building, onlookers stood recording the situation instead of helping. Holding her brother’s hand tightly, she prepared for the worst, convinced they might not survive.
In a moment of desperation, Akothee spotted Frank from Muma Pics among the crowd. Trusting him completely, she threw her car keys to him, asking him to deliver her car to her children in case she didn’t make it.
Help finally arrived in the form of a ladder, and the group was guided to descend to the second floor before escaping the deadly fumes. Despite the rescue, the ordeal left Akothee shaken and breathless.
