Stevo Simple Boy has secured a rare trip to Saudi Arabia for a major show, thanks to his catchphrase “mefi mefi muskla.”
Speaking on K24 TV, he revealed his unique slang, hairstyle changes, and fashion sense make him stand out internationally.
“Why do I always change my hairstyle, clothing, and also slang? You know I’m not just an artist in Kenya, but in the entire East Africa. Now I want to spread my wings further and go international,” Stevo explained.
“So, ‘mefi mefi muskla’ is an Arabic phrase. When I said it, do you know what happened? Luck just came my way. Next month, I’m going to Saudi Arabia just for saying ‘mefi mefi muskla.’
On September 23rd, I’ll be performing in Riyadh. ‘Mefi mefi muskla’ means no problem, everything is cool,” Stevo further clarified.

He later came to admit that he was hurt by the comments made by people but remained focused on his music career.
“I know people are saying that I look like a monkey. It hurts but one has to get used to it,” Stivo once said in an interview.
A little of Lady Luck
