Bonfire Adventures CEO Simon Kabu has been rushed to the theater at AAR Hospital for an illness that is yet to be announced to the public.
His wife, Sarah, took to her Instagram account to share the sad news. She posted a video of Simon in patient regalia on a stretcher being taken to the nurses. Sarah is heard wishing Simon love and a quick recovery.
In the caption that accompanied the video, Sarah claimed that seeing her husband going to the theater had made her realize the true meaning of “in sickness and in health” in marriage vows. She explained that Kabu asked for a goodbye kiss before he was sedated, and he spent one hour in the theater. To her, the process was emotionally overwhelming but was thankful to God because the procedure was a success. She completed the caption by asking her followers to wish her husband a quick recovery.
Her emotional caption read, “This is when you understand whey they had to include IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH KWA MARRIAGE VOWS. When you escort your spouse as he goes to theatre and then he asks for a goodbye kiss ? before hes sedated then u remember @evans_demathew song ? akijira uka ngumumunye… ?゚リᆳwah yesterday was an emotional day especially that 1hr he was inside theatre but we thank God for the procedure went on well ? join me in wishing @kabusimon quick recovery.”
Late last year, the couple revealed that their daughter, Anita Kabu, had been hospitalized at Aga Khan Hospital to undergo surgery for adenoids. Sarah is yet to overcome the trauma of seeing her daughter seriously ill.
A week ago, she posted a photograph of her daughter with a caption saying,
“My little angel who i rarely post but i love u beyond words… am yet to fully recover from the trauma of almost loosing u.. may the almighty God always protect u. No weapon formed against u shall prosper.”
Anita has now recovered, and netizens have joined the family to wish Simon a quick recovery.
Simon falls sick when his family has not yet recovered from the struggles that almost made Sarah leave the marriage.
We, however, pray for the family’s God’s blessing and recovery.
