The husband of Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan, Shakib Lutaaya, has retaliated after an audio recording of his wife calling him timid and foolish was leaked.
Shakib said on social media that it was sad that his wife felt the need to criticize him and treat him with disrespect.
No wife should disparage her husband, he continued, and he wanted Zari to appreciate him even when he wasn’t around.
“Don’t talk bad about your husband to anyone ever. Respect me in my absence, that’s all I ask.”
In another post, Shakib advised people against pride adding that it could lead to them missing out on something they will never find again.
“Love will have you looking stupid. But pride could have you miss out on something you’ll never find again.”
During their extensive travels around the world, Zari had expressed her frustration with Shakib, referring to him as a dull person who constantly relies on her for guidance and assistance.
Zari has been under fire courtesy of social media users after an audio file in which she refers to her husband Shakib as ‘Fala’ went viral.
She shared that Shakib lacks intelligence and whenever they need to apply for visas or other travel documents, she is the one who speaks on their behalf. It seems that Shakib struggles to assert himself and lacks confidence.
Zari has since revealed that the audio was leaked by a friend turned foe Lady Naa after she failed to grace her event.
Despite facing criticism and attempts to undermine her relationship with Shakib, Zari Hassan remains resolute in her commitment to their bond, asserting that their union will not succumb to the efforts of detractors.
