Sadio Mane keeps the door open for Newcastle move as Premier League return beckons
Former Liverpool sensation Sadio Mane has refused to rule out a potential move to Newcastle United, reigniting speculation about his Premier League comeback.
Mane, who joined Bayern Munich last summer after a highly successful stint at Anfield, has faced challenges at the German club.
Despite an impressive start with 11 goals in all competitions, the Senegalese forward struggled in the latter half of the season, netting only once and getting involved in a training ground altercation with Leroy Sane.
As rumors circulate about Mane’s future, it seems he is not completely opposed to the idea of joining Newcastle.
British MEP Martin Callahan shared a picture of himself with Mane at an EITI International conference in Senegal, where they had a conversation about a potential move.
Callahan tweeted, “I couldn’t resist asking him about coming to Newcastle next season. His enigmatic reply: ‘Never say never!’”
Will Mane be tempted by Newcastle?
Mane’s impressive track record in the Premier League has caught the attention of several clubs, with Liverpool being consistently linked to a reunion with the dynamic forward.
Meanwhile, Newcastle, under the guidance of Eddie Howe, is said to have expressed interest in signing Mane to strengthen their squad for an upcoming Champions League campaign.
During his time in England, Mane excelled at Southampton, scoring 25 goals in 75 games before his move to Liverpool.
At Anfield, he played a crucial role in Jurgen Klopp’s successful side, winning multiple trophies including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup. Mane continued his winning streak at Bayern, contributing to their recent Bundesliga triumph.
