Rescued woman pleads to be to returned to Shakahola Forest to continue fasting

A woman who was rescued from Shakahola Forest made the plea to be released so that she may return and finish her fast, and a video of her appeal quickly became popular online.

The woman, who is being treated for her injuries while being held by police, has admitted that she had fasted for two days before to being discovered in the bush.

She continued by saying that even though she went two days without drinking or eating, because she is accustomed to fasting, she did not think it was risking her life.

“Ombi langu ni waniwachilie nirudi penye nilitoka. Nimezoea kufunga na sioni kama nahatarisha maisha yangu. Nimefunga siku mbili sai bilakunywa mai wala kula kitu chochote.

The woman who was rescued from Shakahola Forest is a follower of the evangelist Paul Mackenzie, and she was fasting like the other people who were discovered.

She asserted that she had spoken with Jesus and that she would keep fasting until he guided her to the next location she required.

She added that she was unable to navigate on her own and that Jesus had to give her the fortitude to fast.

“I had talked to Jesus and I would stop after getting to the next stop. Jesus is the one who gives me strength. You need to ask Him for strength when praying because you can’t do it on your own,” she said.
