After Kenya Kwanza leaders raised suspicions about the genuineness of Raila Odinga’s academic papers, his degree from the Otto von Guericke Technical University Magdeburg surfaced online.
Raila graduated from the institution in August 1969, according to the certificate, which was uploaded on social media by pro-Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party bloggers.
Prior to the 2013 General Election, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party boss was awarded a certificate as a graduate engineer, which was translated into English.
The degree, on the other hand, generated more questions than it answered because it contained numerous anomalies, beginning with the awarding institution.
The degree stated that it was given by Otto von Guericke Technical University Magdeburg, which was established in 1993.
Raila attended the Technical University of Magdeburg, which was merged with three other universities to establish the new university.
