Reminiscing on the near-decade tenure, Wangui lauded her fans and colleagues for their support throughout her career.

She thanked the entire Royal Media Services (RMS) family for the opportunity to hire a novice for a news anchor role. She attributed her wealth of experience to the seven years spent at the station.

“I wanted to personally take this opportunity to fill you in because I feel we have been a family that has shared a bond over the years. Tonight marks the final time that I work at Inooro TV and anchor news at RMS. It has been seven years since I began working at the station.

“I want to thank God for the journey and for making it thus far. Also to RMS, for granting me an opportunity to anchor the news.

“To the chairman, S.K Macharia, vice-chair, Gathoni Macharia, M.D Wachira Waruru, Linus Kaikai and the whole RMS family. I began the journey as a young and novice person and I leave with lots of experience,” she stated.

Francis Gachuri, flanked by other colleagues, intercepted Wangui’s final remarks, presenting gifts to celebrate the anchor’s tenure.

Wangui, however, did not divulge her next move but illustrated the moment with the term; Change is inevitable.

“As I leave RMS, Inooro TV specifically to pursue other interests, allow me to first thank the Almighty God for Walking with me this far. Thanks to the RMS fraternity for offering me this opportunity and you the people that formed our daily audience.

“To my family, all my supporters and friends it has been such an honor, may the Almighty God bless you now and forever.

“No words can fully cover my gratitude but accept this from the deepest part of my heart. My socials remain as they were before so let’s keep in touch,” she noted.
