Peter Salasya, the MP for Mumias East has kept his word and paid Stivo Simple Boy’s rent.
Salasya paid KSh 36,000 and stated that he wanted to make Stivo’s life more orderly.
Additionally, the lawmaker promised to provide Grace, Stivo’s wife, with financial support for a brief course in beauty therapy so she could gain independence-building skills.
To give them more than one source of income, Salasya plans to launch a boutique.
Following the exposure of Stivo’s financial difficulties, the MP made the gift with the intention of assisting the couple in achieving stability and empowerment.
“I have paid KSh 36,000 and he came with his wife who approved their new house. Secondly, the wife has no job and she is interested in pursuing a short course. So I will sponsor her to pursue a short course in beauty therapy.
I want her to go around and see the short courses. A course that will take her three months and I will pay for her.
So that she will be able to sustain herself after it and I will open for her a boutique so that they can all have different sources of income,” Salasya said in an interview with Presenter Ali.
Speaking to Tuko, Stivo’s wife Grace thanked Salasya for supporting them.
She revealed they would be moving into their new house tomorrow, Wednesday, July 5.
“I’m extremely happy and grateful. Salasya paid the amount and we will relocate to our new house tomorrow (Wednesday, July 5). May God bless him,” Grace said.
