Pastor Ezekiel Odero’s brother, who founded the well-known New Life Church and Prayer Centre, has established a church in Kisii.
This is a branch of Ezekiel’s now-famous church.
According to the Daily Nation, Gillack Odero, the family’s fourth child, is the main pastor of the now-famous Kisii church.
The Bonchari church already has disciples from neighboring communities such as Homa Bay and Migori.
Pastor Ezekiel founded the New Life Church, which now has thousands of members.
This comes only days after the courts granted Pastor Ezekiel access to all of his frozen bank accounts, which had been frozen for 15 days. This is after the 15-day period has expired.
The investigating officer appeared in court this morning and certified that all banks had complied and that the pastor had no problem accessing his church funds.
While being cross-examined by Lawyer Danstan Omari, Inspector Martin Munene told the court that none of the accounts were in the pastor’s name based on the evidence received.
He stated that all accounts were for the church or the school. The officer, however, stated that Safaricom had not complied with the court order as of today and that they should be called for failing to produce data relating to the SIM cards in question.
The subject will be discussed on Tuesday next week to see if Safaricom has complied with the court ruling.
