Otile Brown, a well-known artist from Kenya, has spoken out about the loss of his unborn child, which happened only a few days after he posted about being pregnant on his Instagram page.
Otile Brown revealed in a series of Instagram stories that the unborn child was a boy and described how he would have been his best friend.
The musician disclosed that his unborn child’s mother had blamed him for the loss, blaming it on his social media announcement.
She felt that the sad event was influenced by the negativity and ill energy that social media purportedly brings.
The singer of “Jeraha” acknowledged that he had at first taken her word for it and had felt bad for posting the information online. He later admitted that he detested social networking.
“It was a boy, dah!… It’s all good. Would have been my bestie,” he wrote in his Instagram stories.
“At first, I hated social media because she hated me and made me believe that it’s all the social media bad energy… and I kind of believed it because, for someone who never advertises his life that much on social media, this one time I was excited and randomly decided to post about it while my heart was telling me not to. It had me feeling guilty,” he lamented.
Otile Brown also stated that he has come to terms with the loss and has decided not to succumb to negative energy.
He explained that the loss of their unborn baby could be their fault, God’s will, or due to natural causes.
On Sunday, July 2, 2023, Otile announced the loss of his unborn baby on Instagram, expressing his acceptance of the situation and his determination to remain positive despite the hardships.
“It’s all good. God, you know I never ask or question you… All I do is smile and stay positive. Our baby didn’t make it, and I guess it’s not my favorite year anymore,” he wrote.
Otile Brown has not revealed the identity of the baby’s mother or disclosed the specific reasons behind the loss.
The musician has chosen to keep his romantic relationships private since his highly publicized breakup with Vera Sidika, whom he dated before his recent ex from Ethiopia, Nabayet.
