Upende usipende! Oscar Sudi says President Ruto will be re-elected in 2027

Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi, has voiced his confidence in President William Ruto’s ability to secure a second term in the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during a public gathering, Sudi dismissed critics of the president, particularly those who previously held government positions, asserting that their opposition holds no weight.

“I have seen some people whom we removed from office talking ill about the president. President Ruto, nobody should threaten you,” Sudi remarked.

He went on to emphasize the improbability of a sitting Kenyan president serving only one term, suggesting that the opposition’s efforts to challenge Ruto’s leadership are futile.

“Have you ever seen a country where a president serves for one term? They will jump up and down, but in the end, everything will be okay,” he said confidently.

Sudi further expressed optimism about the trajectory of Ruto’s administration, highlighting his belief that the president will complete a full two-term tenure before handing over leadership.

“The president has remained with eight years before parking his luggage and leaving the chance for someone else,” Sudi declared, signaling his long-term support for Ruto’s presidency.

Sudi’s comments come amidst an increasingly polarized political environment, with opposition leaders ramping up their criticisms of Ruto’s administration over issues such as the high cost of living and governance strategies.

Despite this, Ruto’s allies, including Sudi, continue to project confidence in the administration’s stability and its chances of re-election in 2027.

As Kenya gears up for the next electoral cycle, the debate over Ruto’s presidency is likely to remain a central topic in political discourse.
