Murkomen promises to start business for Gospel artist who sought help to buy car
Kipchumba Murkomen, the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport, has committed to assist a gospel musician who has asked for help purchasing a car.
Kapsabet-based Mercy Jerop turned to social media to ask for the community’s assistance in buying a car for her work as a gospel musician.
The Covid-19 outbreak severely damaged Jerop’s salon business, forcing her to close.
Murkomen has promised to assist her in opening a cosmetics store, which he claims will enable her to fund her evangelism efforts.
“Mercy was a salonist who like many other entrepreneurs suffered a major setback in 2020 because of Covid. We have discussed how I can support the revival of her business,” Murkomem said.
Adding:
“We have agreed that even though a car may be important for her ministry, it’s better to support a sustainable business that can finance her gospel ministry in the long run.”
He continued by thanking Jerop for her devotion to both God and humanity.
Confirming the promise, Jerop stated that Murkomen had promised to assist her in starting a cosmetics company.
“He said he will help me set up a cosmetics business. He told me to look for a house for the business,” she said.
He continued by thanking Jerop for her devotion to both God and humanity.
Jerop responded positively when the Star inquired about the topic, stating that Murkomen had promised to assist her in starting a cosmetics company.
He promised to assist me in starting a cosmetics company. He instructed me to search for a home for the company, she added.
“He told me to look for a house, and when I do, I should let him know and let him know how much money is required,” she said.
Even though they couldn’t agree on a specific amount of money, Jerop claimed she would be getting the money for her business today.
“He told me to look for a house, once I find it I should inform him and tell him how much money is needed.”
