Comedian Mulamwah responded to circulating claims that he is broke and burdened by unpaid bank loans.

Allegations surfaced online that his Mercedes Benz was repossessed due to failure to pay installments, and that he was struggling to service a KSh 35 million loan used to build his village mansion and a KSh 2.5 million loan for his car.

A fan, identified as Ivy, alleged that Mulamwah had also failed to pay rent for four months. Ivy claimed,

“Mulamwah owes the bank KSh 35 million. He took the money to build his house. He also has another KSh 2.5 million loan for his car. He has not paid rent for four months. He has rented my brother’s house, so I won’t lie.”

Reacting on social media, Mulamwah expressed shock and dismissed the claims with laughter, writing,

“Eeeei 😂😂😂😂.”

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Mulamwah declined to address the rumors directly. He explained that he had stopped responding to such allegations, stating,

“I’m not clearing any rumors. I stopped reacting to many things. They want to provoke you so you react, and then they turn against you to make you lose business deals. I have several gigs. How can I be broke with all those gigs?”

Netizens also weighed in on the issue, with some doubting the validity of the claims and others criticizing the toxicity of social media platforms like TikTok.
