R.I.P. Mheshimiwa
Msambweni Member of Parliament (MP) Suleiman Dori who passed away on Monday morning will be buried this afternoon.
An announcement carried by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) announced that the late MP would be buried at 4pm in Kwale County.
“Msambweni MP Hon Ramadhan Suleiman Dori who passed on early today will be buried today (Monday 9th March 2020) at 4pm at his home village of Gasi, in Msambweni constituency, Kwale County. May God Rest his Soul in Peace,” the announcement by ODM outlined.
The MP will be buried according to the final rites prescribed by the Islamic religion to which he belonged.
Cancer claims MP’s life
The MP passed away on Monday morning at the Aga Khan Hospital in Mombasa where he had been receiving treatment for cancer.
The family reported that he passed on at 5 p.m in the morning without divulging more details of his last moments.
Among those who have mourned the late MP are his party leader Raila Odinga, the Wiper Democratic Party, National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi and a myriad of colleagues from the 12th Parliament.
