He hasn’t set foot on Kenyan soil in nearly four years, and he was unable to contain his emotions.
“I’m feeling exhilarated, I can at least now smell the freshness of Kenyan oxygen and freedom,” he said.
Speaking at the event, he said his coming back was as a result of persistence.
“President Ruto is a man of his word, he said he would facilitate my return and he did. I Couldn’t be more grateful,” he said.
After 1716 days since he was deported in March 2018, the lawyer jetted in the country at 6am on Thursday.

He was flanked by an entourage, a security team and his supporters who escorted him from JKIA.
Miguna lauded Kenyans for exercising their rights on the August 9, elections and choosing the Kenya Kwanza administration to lead the country for the next five years.
“I must extend my gratitude to Kenyans who voted for the Kenya Kwanza government because that is central for me, without this administration, I would not be back home,” he added.
