Tuesday night, a guy killed himself by shooting himself after his ex-wife refused to reconcile with him.
The dead, who divorced his wife in September of last year, went to see her at her home in Muthangari’s Haadi flats in the afternoon. He apologized to her and begged her to get back together, but she refused.
“When the wife declined to forgive him, he removed his pistol and shot at himself. A glock pistol and one spent cartridge were recovered from the scene,” police said.
In other news, DCI foiled a planned robbery within Alfa Centre along Mombasa road murdered three alleged thieves Sunday night.
The three were allegedly a part of a group of six who were earlier seen hanging around the neighborhood and making an effort to loot the same place twice, according to the DCI.
According to a police report, the suspects were seen by the detectives who then challenged them to turn themselves in, but they refused.
“Instead, they opened fire on the police, and a gunfight followed. The story further states that while three of the thugs were shot to death, the other three managed to flee.
A Simoco SRP pocket phone, an HP laptop, and two firearms (one loaded and the other unloaded barreta) were found at the scene.
