Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has sparked wild reactions after he was seen taking lonely walks in Narok.
Many were impressed by the fact that, unlike before, he was not guarded by a bodyguard or entourage.
Others, however, expressed alarm, claiming that the President appeared dejected and lost.
The President was in Narok for business.
Take a look at a few of the responses below.
@KamonyoMathew: Indeed power is transient Uhuru lives just like any other man with wherewithal,no ceremonial motorbikes no military men to pamper him around just normal live.
@bkyanya: He doesn’t need a bodyguard. If there was a people’s president, then this was it, despite being born in privilege. Humility personified.
@OnanJunior: This is normal in Uganda here , retired presidents roam freely.
@The_6ers: Let the man live his life bana. Hii maisha Kila kitu uko nazo utaacha Kwa hii dunia anytime anywhere hata hizo chains zako na haujui ni Akina nani watapigania hata huenda sio familia yako ndio itafaidika nazo. Let Uhuru be.
@Bonniemut: I was not his supporter, but Uhuru is fairly decent and now a statesman. He will always keep the title of being a former Kenyan president and nobody can take that away from him. The current president will also at some point become former president.
@CharlesNguna: He’s ok, he’s very rich , he looks comfortable, he has pension scheme better than all of us , I envy him because humility and simplicity is the best thing in life. God protect UK.
@JoseeNdungu: I thought that is what is called freedom and peace of mind in retirement? Not every time having escorts all over you.
@carolin59445823: Oh….. where are the guards? The former president still has roles to play in leadership! Sitting at a peace forum is very important. Long live our former President Uhuru.
