“Nimepoteza income” – Gospel singer Phyllis Mbuthia breaks down after losing YouTube channel
Phyllis Mbuthia, a well-known Kikuyu gospel musician, is devastated after losing her YouTube channel, which had over 300,000 subscribers.
She expressed her heartbreak in a sad video posted to her Facebook page.
She added that it had taken her seven years to develop the channel and gain such a large audience.
“Somebody has just taken my YouTube account with over 300,000 subscribers and discarded it just like that.
The account which I had built in seven years has been deleted in six hours or fewer. At least they have given it to someone else,” she said while crying.
Mbuthia was moved to tears by the unexpected loss, but she insisted that, while her channel had been stolen, her anointing as an artist remained intact.
“Losing a Youtube Channel with over 300k subscribers and over 30 million views having built it for over 7 years is a painful experience. Phyllis Mbuthia they have stolen the channel but not the anointing,” she said.
