Musician Kennedy Ombima, also known as King Kaka placed a bet on Spain’s victory in the Euro 2024 football match, winning USDT 6575 (KSh 850,000).
Spain won the final match, lifting the trophy for a record fourth time.
A late goal from substitute Mikel Oyarzabal proved the difference between the two sides, although Spain dominated possession and had better chances throughout the final.
The first half ended goalless after cautious starts from both teams.
Spain then opened the scoring just moments after the restart through winger Nico Williams.
England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was forced into action again soon after as Spain continued to press for another goal.
England levelled the score with just under 20 minutes to go, thanks to a shot from Cole Palmer outside the penalty area.
The Chelsea forward had come off the bench just two minutes earlier as head coach Gareth Southgate refreshed England’s attacking line.
But with just four minutes left inside Berlin’s Olympic stadium, Spain took the lead again.
King Kaka wins Sh1.2 million bet
In May, the father of two won another Sh1.2 million bet.
He shared his excitement on social media and expressed his gratitude to his favourite football team, which he credited for making him richer.
The 37-year-old rapper took a chance and placed a bet on the Champions League semi-final match between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
He wagered a heavy sum of Sh. 655,000 (equivalent to 5000 USD) with the hope of earning a big payout.
Fortunately, his bet paid off, and he was able to cash out a significant amount of money.
“Fingers crossed, Real Madrid vs Bayern,” the artist who now doubles as a movie producer and director wrote as he shared a post of his bet. From the 5000 USD, he was supposed to win 9600 USD and luckily, the odds were with him.
“Rodrygo, Vinicius be nice! Coach, tell your boys be nice! I have placed a 5K bet, be nice!” The ‘Monkey Business’ director said as he was placing his bet. And it seems the Spanish League Titans truly heard him.
Real overcame Bayern Munich winning the semi-finals by 2 goals to 1.
“9600 USDT. Thank you Real Madrid!” Kaka wrote elatedly as he shared a screen grab of his settled bet.
