Kikuyu gospel singer breaks silence after female pastor dies in his house
According to Kikuyu gospel artist Mirugi Dishon, the Kenyan pastor who passed away at his Kahawa West home committed suicide.
The musician has been popular all day when news broke that a preacher named Elizabeth Githinga passed away in his home on March 18, 2023, on a Saturday.
According to a report by Inooro TV, the singer, who is now being investigated in connection with the pastor’s death, claimed that she and the pastor were formerly lovers and that she had traveled from Nakuru to visit him on Saturday.
Mirugi claimed that when she got to his Kahawa West home, she offered to do some cleaning as he hurriedly left to run an errand along Thika Road.
Upon returning to the house, the singer said he found the woman had taken her own life and decided to rush her body to the hospital.
He told police that he rushed to the Acaranda Maternity, a medical facility, but the doctors did not take the body, and they advised him to go to the police.
The police officers at the Kasarani Police Station and two other stations did not also take the remains, and they told him he should have called them when he found the remains.
The law enforcers were concerned that he could have tampered with the scene of death. After spending hours with the body, he was allowed to take it to the mortuary.
