Kikuyu gospel artist Muigai Wa Njoroge has a third wife, identified as Shiko, amidst his current marriages to Gladys Njeri and Queen Stacey, with speculations of a daughter.
“He spends most of his time in that woman’s house. I have spotted the lady being driven in the musician’s car mostly in entertainment joints around Thika Road.”
In a post seen by this writer, Shiko took to social media to defend Muigai amidst controversy surrounding his recent song release, which allegedly targeted his first wife, Njeri.
The song titled Nyagacu, is Kikuyu for “an immoral and restless woman.”
In a Facebook post, Shiko voiced her support for Muigai’s right to speak out, questioning societal double standards and advocating for men’s voices to be heard.
“Why do people expect men to withstand and stay quiet while hurting from inside? Whenever a girl child expresses herself, everyone is supportive… Does it mean a girl child is more important than a boy child? Men too need a soft ground to express themselves.”
Shiko frequently shares motivational content on resilience and self-assurance across her social media platforms.
“Don’t wait for things to get better. Life will always be complicated. Learn to be happy right now, otherwise, you will run out of time,” she wrote in one post.
In another post, Shiko emphasises her stance on competition, asserting her commitment to personal growth and self-improvement.
“I’m in competition with no one. I run my own race…I have no desire to play the game of being better than anyone, in any way, shape or form. I just aim to improve, to be better than I was before… That’s me and I am free.”
A few days ago, Muigai’s second wife, Queen Stacey, hinted at turmoil in her own social media post, alluding to personal struggles.
The US-based mother of three shared a touching message affirming her strength amidst adversity, signalling that all may not be well within her marriage.
“I have stood firm through my storm, and I am still standing. I have rolled down many hills only to find myself standing back up… All I need is to stand tall till the end. I am a strong woman,” Queen Stacey wrote, hinting at the challenges she may be facing behind closed doors.
In a recent video update, she expressed her unwavering commitment to her partner.
Lip-syncing to the lyrics of ‘My Vow,’ she passionately conveyed her sentiments, saying, “Do you know how much I prayed for you? I prayed for so long for you, darling. Be my forever, I promise to never let you down, baby this is my vow.”
Additionally, fans noticed that Queen Stacey has included Muigai’s name in her social media profiles.
Reacting to the revelation, Virginia Githui commented, “Finally, you’ve added the last name, while on the other hand, we’re looking to remove it. Just take care of Muigai and be his strength.”
Meanwhile, Njeri, the estranged first wife has indicated that she plans to drop her estrange husband’s name.
In an interview with Kameme FM, Njeri spoke about the challenges in her marriage and confirmed her separation from the gospel artiste.
She acknowledged that Muigai as a responsible father, but stated that her decision was informed by the need to prioritise her well-being.
“We tried (to save the marriage) but I realised I will be a sad person as it had started taking a toll on me again and I was going back to alcoholism,” she said.
