Kiambu Woman Stabs Man To Dead For Sneaking Into Her House

A woman in Kerwa Town, Kiambu County, reportedly confronted and fatally stabbed a man who intruded into her house at dawn on January 5, according to police reports.

Authorities revealed that the deceased man’s body was discovered sprawled on the floor of the woman’s house with stab wounds to his chest. A blood-stained kitchen knife, believed to be the murder weapon, was recovered at the scene and preserved as evidence.

A confrontation ensued, during which she grabbed a kitchen knife to defend herself, ultimately leading to the fatal stabbing.

Kiambu Police Commander Michael Muchiri confirmed that investigations are ongoing to establish the full details of the incident. The deceased’s body has been moved to the mortuary, pending an autopsy and further inquiries.

This incident comes amid increased security operations across the country to address rising cases of armed robberies and violent attacks.

Separate Incident: IEBC Official Stabbed to Death in Mombasa

In a separate tragic event, Aisha Abubakar, a senior Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) official, was stabbed to death in her house in Utange, Mombasa, on Sunday.

Police reports indicate that a gang broke into Aisha’s home, attacked her, and stole electronic goods. Her son was also injured during the assault and is currently hospitalized.

Authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack, with a team of detectives pursuing the perpetrators, one of whom was reportedly wearing a facemask during the incident.

Aisha Abubakar, who was the Acting County Elections Manager for Kilifi, joined the IEBC in 2012 as a Constituency Elections Coordinator for Nyali and had risen through the ranks to her current position.

IEBC CEO Marjan Hussein expressed his condolences, stating, “The Commission is deeply concerned by this horrendous incident and condemns the perpetrators behind Ms. Aisha’s death. As we condole with her family, we call on security agencies to speedily investigate this heinous occurrence and apprehend her killers.”

The two incidents underscore the urgency of bolstering security efforts to curb the rising wave of violent crimes in the country.
