Popular Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has released a new song urging the incoming president William Ruto to protect Raila Odinga from hate and mockery.
The singer of the Kwani Ni Kesho hit was performing while wearing a blue sweatshirt and standing close to what appeared to be a flyover.
Only hours after posting the freestyle on his YouTube website, it has already received more than 58,000 views under the name Usiache Akemewe.
In the first two minutes and six seconds of the song, he commends Ruto for winning the election and expresses his admiration for his endurance.
He raps, “We’re just from an election so country bado ni shaky. A lot of sadness imekuwa mtaa lately, but this is from a good place, I hope you don’t mistake me.”
Additionally, Papa Jones pleaded with his followers not to hate him for sharing the freestyle.
“There’s an issue that only you can address, reconciliation; that’s all we need to start afresh. And you’re a man of God so you know how to do it best. Juu saa hii wanatusi Raila na kuna vile inanistress, Mr hustle, yes, a man of integrity put the people together coz chuki saa hii si necessity.”

The rapper keeps telling Ruto that only he has the power to change the story because only he has gone through a similar situation.
“Ombi letu ka wananchi ni tuweke Baba fiti coz I know you understand what that man is going through,” he continues.
Jones also mentioned how his mother was depressed and in mourning over the election results, and he claimed to understand her as Kenyan politics had always been tribal.
“Tuprotectie huyu mzae usiache akemewe juu tunampenda vile tunakupenda, hatutaki kuona akikemewa na watu, wewe unajuwa ni nini amefanya, sisi tunajuwa ni nini amefanya,” he raps.
He thanks Ruto and extends his congratulations on winning the president as he concludes the song.
Khali is the first performer to publicly ask fans and Ruto to watch out for Raila despite the fact that the nation is currently divided with ardent supporters on both sides.
