Azimio presidential running mate Martha Karua on Monday explained that her coalition was focused on ensuring equal distribution of bursary funds to all needy children.
In what is seen as aimed to fight corruption, Karua said if they form the next government they will ensure the disbursement is done in a transparent way.
In a tweet, Karua went ahead to say that the money disbursed will be enough to cater for all the needs of children at any level of learning.
“Without corruption, the bursary will be enough for every child,” she said.
She also reiterated that the biggest problem in Kenya has been corruption.
She had earlier noted that their government will fight corruption to ensure the lost resources are recovered to finance their manifesto, which targets liberating Kenyans from increasing cost of living.
“We will fight corruption to ensure the public resources benefit all Kenyans and not a few individuals,” Karua said at a rally in Embu.
In a series of tweets, Karua also noted that one of the coalition’s policy is to create a conducive business environment for both startups and inventions.
“This is to ensure that there is growth in the economy and for the benefit of citizens,” she said.
Karua also insisted that the Azimio believes in women’s leadership, the third gender rule and empowerment for all.
